Ohhh I got Kendre again, but this time for lightning round! The round's theme was "design a new outfit"! I picked Sangier because he was partly inspired by Guybrush, haha. ALSO I thought it was really crazy how he has blonde hair + scar + pirate-ness, because that is similar to what Cim has become! And Nemui recently told me to draw Cim with a beard too..
so I had to mentally prepare myself and make sure they didn't end up looking like clones in my style!
At first I wanted to draw him a sweet fancy captain's coat with a hood (since I haven't seen much hooded captain jackets in "old" pirate outfits), but in the end I chose to draw an outfit that was practical and functional, since he likes to sword fight!
I tried to make it as creative/original/piratey (and not generic) all at once. It was a challenge - I realized I don't know much about piratey outfits aside from the poofy shirts and fancy hats XD. With that said, I was afraid he would look more like a musketeer, so I avoided putting any stripe patterns on his clothing.
I tried not to look up too much reference because I was afraid he would end up having PotC knockoff clothing! I think that Kendre likes it though, and that's all that matters :D
